GNH School Action plan 2017.

Objective: keep our school green and clean for green Bhutan

Strategies: infuse the GNH values in the school curriculum.

                         -follow the good culture and preserve it.

                         -practice mind and mindful living through the meditation.

                         -keep school surrounding clean and make it child friendly.

                          -Stop corporal and physical punishment.

                         -inculcate the habit of loving the nature and trees .

                         -keep good relation with the community.

Activities to be implemented.

Meditation/mindful living	conduct meditation. sharing the stories with good values and habits. (all teachers and children)	Every morning and evening.
Stop physical/corporal punishment	Include it in school policy, inform parents and stds. ( all Teachers) SMT	March- dec.
Cleaning campaign	Cleaning the public place(stream, Roads) SMT & All children.	Twice a year.
Review Disaster/preparedness plan(safe school)	Include the community leaders and people.( SMT, SMB)	Starting march
Adopt stream and plants.	Nature club member adopt and take care. ( nature club)	Starting April/ May
Tree plantation.	Fruit bearing and evergreen plants ( SMT & captains)	May/June
Waste management.	Collect the waste and try to recycle, sell to scrap dealer & make new things out of waste. (scouts & nature club)	Starting feb- dec

Choshey	Call Tsampa & religious person to talk on religion and other good things.( Driglam incharge)	Once a month (on namgang)   30th day of bhutanese calander.
Hand washing/clean drinking water.	Use soap when washing hand/ Practice drinking boiled water. (heath Incharge)	Every day.(daily after SUPW)
Stories of the localities	Invite the local people to tell them the stories they heard from their grandparents ( SMT)	Saturday /as and when we get time.
Pit digging  beside Roads.	Beside the school entrance. (Scouts and Nature club)	Saturday 6/8/2017
Children park	Construct temporary shade beside  academic building. ( SMT)	Work during the Sundays/ Bigger boys Girls caretaker and Teacher.(April &may)
